SSN Records Saved The Day …

When Did He Die

It’s always a wise thing to keep records of your family’s personal identity information, like SSN and death certificates.  As time goes by, you’re liable to forget important information that you might need someday.

It’s never a good time to talk about death and dying, especially not around the Holidays.  The Holidays are a time for merriment and cheer, and should not be a time when we are predisposed with thoughts of gloom and doom.  But, life is what it is, and some things just can’t wait until tomorrow to be settled.

Our family resolved a touchy situation over the Holidays regarding the passing of my parents.  In fact, my only other sibling, my younger sister Pam, and I were quite frantic over personal information about our parents.  Thank heavens for the Internet and the records retrieval firm that we accessed.

SSN Request Retrieved the Information We Needed

You see, our father passed away more than 25 years ago, and Mom kept all the personal records pertaining to Dad.  Well, Mom had suffered from Dementia over the past decade.  She probably had it earlier than that.  However, we saw signs about 8 years ago, and tried to watch her closely until her death earlier this year.

When she died, we realized that there were so many questions we should have asked her.  One question should have been the location of Dad’s personal papers.  Anyway, we never located them.

With the passing of Mom, we purchased a headstone for their grave.  When the headstone engraver contacted me yesterday for the dates of Dad’s birth and death, lo and behold! I realized that I didn’t remember Dad’s date of death, and neither did my sister.

SSN Records Request Saves the Day

It was Thanksgiving night, and we finished the dishes and cleaning up the dining room.  It felt eerie because it was our first Thanksgiving without Mom.  Since the engraver needed the information tomorrow, my sister went online and accessed a SSN Records retrieval firm.  When we put in Dad’s full name and social security number, we had our date of death in a mere matter of minutes.

In addition to his date of death, we were given this additional information about him:  his full name; his SSN; his age at the time of his death; the city, state, town, street address and zip code of his residence at the time of his death; and his telephone number at the time of his death.  If there had been cell phones when he was still alive, I’m sure that the SSN records search would have retrieved that number for us also.

So, if you have a problem similar to ours and time is of the essence, all you have to do is authorize a SSN Records search, and you’ll have the information you are looking for on the screen of your computer within minutes using the people search by ssn service.
